Duck and weave in this fun VR game

Hyperstacks is a free virtual reality action video game wherein you can take on cool challenges created by other players. Developed by Squirrel Bytes, this VR puzzle-platformer lets you fight, climb, and dodge your way around unique stages. You’ll have to deal with deadly lasers and shooting robots but the versatility of the gameplay—plus the level creation feature—makes this a fun title to try out.

A different kind of adventure

Hyperstacks looks and feels like a frenetic action parkour game, with how you must traverse over walls and pits and dodge around to avoid getting hit by enemies. However, the core of this game is all about the puzzles. You have to figure out how to open up the next areas and how to go over walls by interacting with the environment. You can easily explore by climbing and grabbing the small blue blocks scattered around.

In terms of combat, you can freely access five weapons that you can dual-wield. These are melee and ranged weapons; the guns differ from the type of bullet they shoot out. Choosing your weapons is important when activating the puzzles that spawn enemies as they also fight differently and will require some quick-thinking. What’s great about this mechanic is that there’s a full VR movement involved, letting you be flexible in how you fight.

However, the best feature of this game has is its level editor. With it, you can easily create custom stages and get creative with the type of gameplay you want in it. You can set up a room full of dangerous pink lasers to enforce tricky climbing, or you can create an arena full of enemies. Additionally, you can share your creations with other players and even play their own works.

Has great potential

All in all, Hyperstacks is a fun VR experience if you’re a fan of puzzle platforming. While there are frequent loading issues with the graphics and hitboxes, the game has a lot of potentials, the more people discover it and fiddle around with the level editor. This game is compatible with the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Oculus Quest, and Valve Index.

The game has not loading issues, is just that this version is outdated and is not compatible with the new levels where people use the new featuresActually the current version is 0.5.0, not 0.3.2, wich is way outdated

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?
